b4equal - Find statistics about cubes for use by EQUALIZER B4EQUAL finds the current mean pixel value of each cube and stores the value in the label keyword PHOTOPT_MEAN which will be used by EQUALIZER. It also finds the mean of each cube in the overlap area with another cube, the slope of a line of best fit of the brightness values between the two cubes (mode=CONTRAST) or the ratio of the standard deviations of the brightness values in each cube (mode=SD), and the number of points used in calculating the statistics. This information is stored in the PHOTO_RAD_POINTs for use by EQUALIZER. The program tests for special pixel values at each pixel in each pair of cubes in the overlap area. If either pixel is special, no statistics are gathered for either cube at that pixel. This program only works on cubes that have been transformed to a map projection. This program may be used for multi-band cubes. Separate statistics are gathered for each band. NOTE: all previous PHOTO_RAD_POINTs are removed from the labels when this program is run.
