Isis 2 Documentation
isisinfo - Report detailed information about an ISIS file isisinfo will report detailed information about an ISIS file. It reports the current running version of ISIS, file record, label and object information. One reason this program lives is to reveal information on detached label files and where object data comes from. Currently, ISIS has about 7 different possibilities on where external (detached) object files can come from. The algorithm that resolves (finds) external data object files loops until one is found with the right name. ISIS is quite flexible (read "practical") in support for references to these external data files. At the same time, it is quite difficult even from the main application programming level to tell exactly which file is being used to read object data from. isisinfo was written to address this ambiguity and ease the users mind.
