ISIS Spectral Libraries
The following are SPECPR format spectral libraries that are included in
$ISISDATA. These can be used as input to the "specpr2isl" program to produce
ISIS Instrument Spectral Library (ISL) files. Note that these data files
are currently available only on the Solaris and SGI platforms because the
SPECPR format files are only available for this hardware architecture (byte
ordering).
- NimsLib - Wendy Calvin's collection of spectra convolved to
a set of NIMS wavelengths (29 Spectra at 408 Wavelengths
(0.6984 to 5.2264 micrometers))
- aglib001 - Spectra from the Pilot Land Data System
(430 Spectra at 826 Wavelengths (0.400 to
2.500 micrometers))
- aglib002 - J. Salisbury IR Spectra 2.1-25 um
(488 Spectra at 2287 Wavelengths (2.0795 to
25.0442 micrometers))
The following is a JPL SPAM format spectral library that is included in
$ISISDATA. This can be used as input to the "spam2isl" program to produce
ISIS Instrument Spectral Library (ISL) files. Note that this data file
is currently available only on the Solaris and SGI platforms because the
SPAM format file is only available for this hardware architecture (byte
ordering).
- spamlib.lib - JPL SPAM spectral library (550 spectra that cover
a wavelength range of approximately 0.45 to 2.5
micrometers)
NOTE:
Running "specpr2isl" or "spam2isl" on the Solaris or SGI platform will produce
a Solaris/SGI format ISL file. An ISL file is actually an ISIS cube file, and
the "convert" program can be used to convert cube files to a different
hardware architecture. However, "convert" cannot be used for converting an
ISL file because the spectral header information is packed into a set of
backplanes in the file. "convert" does not yet properly handle the conversion
of the spectral header information in the backplanes.
