vikftp - Download Viking Orbiter EDR images
This procedure calls 'vikftp.pl' to download Viking Orbiter I and II
images from the URL ftp://pdsimage2.wr.usgs.gov. Multiple images in a
list or a single image can be downloaded.
Output files: Viking Orbiter images will be downloaded onto the
current working directory. The files will have a ".img" file
extension. Refer to 'viklev0' for details on converting to
ISIS format. An output file "download_failed.lis" containing
a list of all the images that failed to be downloaded will be
created in the current directory.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
| Parm | Description |
|---|---|
| FROMLIST | The input list that is used by the FROMLIST parameter is a single column list that contains the product_id's of Viking Orbiter images. The output file from SEDRSORT could be entered for this parameter. The correct format for the PRODUCT_ID is three digit rev number, a letter for mission designation and a two digit frame number. Example: 045a12 167b35 The script that is run by this procedure will need to access a cumulative index table file stored on PDS CD-ROM volume vo_1064. VAR.FROM If one image is needed then, the FROM option will allow the user to enter the PRODUCT_ID of an image to be downloaded. Like the FROMLIST parameter, you must have the index file so the script can search the file. |
