rsync protocal data stream error (SOLVED)

Hi,

I am trying to download the data through rsync but at start it worked well after sometime its throwing an rsync protocol data stream error this occured almost three times in last two days .
Code: [Select]
rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer (104)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(759) [receiver=3.0.6]
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (448 bytes received so far) [generator]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(600) [generator=3.0.6]

What exactly the error was ? and how can it will be avoided???

not sure
but the USA east coast got hit so.....

just rerun the rsync commands and it will restart where it left off

Yes it might be the reason.But now job was done.

sruthi,

It looks like something happened to the connection between your computer and the rsync server. Without detailed information from the exact time the problem occurred there is little we can do to tell you what happened. As John pointed out, just restart the rsync command and it will pick up where it left off. Which rsync server are you using?

as your Mr.john said when i restarted the rsync once after rebooting my system it got worked .
