Code Review

Add a history entry for yourself to the following files, and make sure to reference the bug number. Look at the other history entries to see what format we follow. It's basically just a brief description of the changes you made to that file, and what the Redmine ticket number was:

  • spechighpass.xml
  • CubeAttribute.h
  • cnetedit.xml
  • SumFinder.h

Before you pass this to Tammy for review, you should run the app/cat and unit tests to see if there are any failures because of the changes. If there are you will have to fix them.

Typically what I do is cd into $ISISROOT from inside a terminal. Then at the command line I type:

make -j4 appTest >& appTest.log
Ctrl-Z
bg
tail -f appTest.log (This is so I can see how the test is doing while it's running and no when it is time to start the next one).

The process is the same for the unit and cat tests. Type make help at the command line to see a list of options.

Anyway, it looks good! Nice job!

I've logged onto astrom4 to test voy2isis. I have encountered the following and cannot run the application:

I have no idea why those errors show up - they are unrelated to the ticket. I just rebuilt voy2isis and checked that it's working on astrovm4. You could try it again.

Whatever you did, worked. Thank you. I was able to run voy2isis from /work/projects/isis/latest/m04651/isis/bin/voy2isis.

voy2isis worked on all the images originally reported on, test area: /work/projects/usertests/UserTestPlans/Apps/voy2isis/m04651
spiceinit ran fine on the ingested images.
voycal fails horribly..this is a separate ticket.

I tried a second image /work/projects/usertests/UserTestPlans/Apps/voy2isis/m04414/

ast{764}> voy2isis from=c1483440.imq to=c1483440.cub
voy2isis: Importing
100% Processed
ERROR An unknown NAIF error has been encountered. The short explanation provided by NAIF is [SPICE(INVALIDTIMESTRING)]. The Naif error is [The input string contains an unrecognizable substring beginning at the character marked by : "NKNOWN"].

Also, images reported in #4421 (the input images are from the original PDS archive)
/work/projects/usertests/UserTestPlans/Apps/voy2isis/m04421/

voy2isis from=c1549450.imq to=c1549450.cub
USER ERROR Unable to set PDS file. Decompressed input file [c1549450.img] does not appear to be a PDS product.

voy2isis from=c1549510.imq to=c1549510.cub
USER ERROR Unable to set PDS file. Decompressed input file [c1549510.img] does not appear to be a PDS product.

That appears to be a second bug that was masked by the first (those files did not work previously either). If we are following the agile process it should be reported on a separate ticket and this ticket should be closed. Either is fine with me - I think Jason would prefer closing this one.
