Description

Right now, ISIS3 Cubes spiceinited with a DSK shapemodel store the full path to the DSK file in the Kernels group. If you're outside the building and/or don't have the exact same directory structure with the DSK in the exact same location as the person who sent you the cube, opening the cube in qview will cause an 'unable to find file error' about the DSK file.

Right now, there are two options I use:

(1) Mock up the full-path directory structure and put the DSK in the appropriate location

(ex: the kernels group says that the DSK file is located in /work/users/kberry/shapemodel.bds. If I'm not on a work computer, I'd mkdir -p /work/users/kberry/, download the shapemodel if I don't already have it, and then mv shapemodel.bs /work/users/kberry/This will not be possible for users that can't just mkdir at the root level)

(2) Re-spiceinit the cube.

I'm not sure what the solution to this should be, but both (1) and (2) feel more like workarounds than real solutions.
