Would be helpful to have xmldiff program (similar to pvldiff) to compare xml files for differences. This could be used for PDS4 label comparisons. Text diff utilities do not work because attributes of identical xml files may appear in random order. (Especially useful for our nightly tests.)

Hey Jeannie, I believe I pretty much have this application done.
I was wondering if you could point me to some xml files that you think would be good to test this with.
I've been using application xml files for testing so far and it's working good but if you have specific things in mind I would like to test it with those before I put this as resolved and push it to the work area.

I mentioned this to Adam, but it would be a good idea to see if there's something "off the shelf" we can use for this instead of creating and maintaining our own tool. I'm sure other people have to diff xml files, so I'd expect there to be at least a handful of options out there.

If we integrate a new tool into our testing process, we'll need to make sure that we document that it's needed for running tests.
